A big event like this can’t come together without a team of volunteers, sponsors, vendors, entertainers, and more. If you are interested in volunteering with us you can either sign-up for a specific event, or fill out the form for more general volunteer positions.

Join Our Volunteer List

Fill out the form below to express interest in volunteer opportunities with Burnsville Pride. Filling in the form below is not a commitment to volunteer, but a commitment to get information. You will always have a choice of what volunteer opportunities you sign up for. There are opportunities both large and small for all sorts of experience levels. 


A note on time commitments:

We understand that everyone has other priorities in life and that you may not have a lot of time to dedicate. That's okay! We all understand and we want to find a job that fits your life and your interest in our organization. If you don't have time now, but may in the future, please join the volunteer list. If a need ever catches your eye, you can just reply to that email to get involved. 

If you have a little more time, here are some general ideas of what each type of position might require: 

  • Committee Members - Depending on the committee type and size, you may find yourself spending between 1 and 4 hours a month. Expect to spend more time around upcoming events or at certain times of the year.
  • Committee Leads - Committee Leads will spend about the same time as committee members plus an hour or two depending on the time of year and needs.
  • Website and Marketing - Our needs will ebb and flow, requiring occasional updates to our website (WordPress), posting  on social media, and creating flyers and marketing materials. This could need as little as an hour here or there to a couple of hours a month. 
  • Board Directors - Our Board of Directors are voted in every two years and will spend 5-10 hours a month, with a little more as our main festival approaches. 
  • Ad Hoc Volunteers - We will need volunteers who are willing to spend an hour helping out at events, coming to meetings to help plan, and any other little odd jobs you'd like to help us with! These can be small time commitments and will typically come with a sign-up form allowing you to pick and choose where you help out.
