Internship Overview

Burnsville Pride is looking for a social media intern to help with content creation, posting and engagement on our digital platforms. This internship will run through our annual Burnsville Pride event in September, with most responsibilities centered around promoting the event, sharing live updates and wrapping up after it ends. This role would be great for current high school/college students or recent graduates looking to gain social media experience.

As an intern, you’ll get practical experience managing social media for a community group, directly supporting both the promotion and live coverage of a major event. You’ll build a portfolio of published work, benefit from mentorship and constructive feedback on your social media and storytelling and enjoy a flexible schedule to fit your school or summer plans.

Please keep in mind that this internship is unpaid and volunteer-based. We’re happy to help students earn academic credit and we’re dedicated to making sure interns leave with impressive, portfolio-ready social media samples by the end of their time with us.
